Flower Brooch for Musa's Teachers

Happy Teacher's Day to all teachers out there...something for Musa's teachers today ;-) I made six flower brooch for his favorite teachers - the most important thing, he gives to his class teacher, Ms Khoo and his Malay teacher, Cikgu Siti.

Yesterday, his future primary school called and ask us - parents to take him to the school on this coming Saturday to sit for a TEST. I was like..what? a TEST? Yes, a TEST..they wanna know how good is the child so far ~ in reading and counting..or maybe they want to arrange standard one classes for next year. Owhh, there is a lot of question mark in my head~

Time kita dulu mana ada test ka apa..terus pegi sekolah rendah. Baru la start belajar ABC's and 123's but nowadays masuk jer sekolah  rendah...memang expectation tinggi ~ the kids should already know how to read and count. How time has changed so much~

Parents expectation pun tinggi nowadays...dunia semakin mencabar, tapi jangan sampai lupakan akhirat yang pasti!~ *wink*

Another Episode of Life

Tea cozy tu kalau nak kena order yer...hehe

Hi All, I have been busy lately entertaining my elder son since he got chicken pox. Banyak songeh sungguh! I have to take care of him since the nursery doesn't accept him in school...huhu pity him.

He asked me "Why adik can go to school and I can't?"

My husband and I tried to explain to him as simple as we can. We are hoping that he understands.Eventhough he doesn't, at least we have done our part ;)

Ok back to my sewing thing..uhh too many projects have been delayed. Huhu...

All in Progress......

This is crochet cactus for Sis Hani, will take another hour to finish. I need to sew them together and put some cotton inside. Hmm...it may takes about an hour ;) then it will be on Sis Hani's desk. InsyaAllah!

This time I need to put some weight together with the cotton in the pot. Don't forget yer...then only the cactus in the pot will stand steadily.

The making of Beg Bunga Cornus hampir berjaya, it is 95% completed now! Yeay!!!

Huh...finally only the bag handles and inside finishing left. It needs to be completed!

I promise...I will complete it!

I need more time for my sewing projects! Huhu...

Happy Birthday MOM!

Yes, last sunday was my mom's birthday. I made a tea cozy for her and attached the crochet rose I made last week to the tea cozy...so nice! :D I am so proud to present it to her and YES!

She likes it...

I am proud to be your daughter, MOM! I put the tea cozy on her dining table, covering her tea pot...showing her how to use it. Isn't it nice??..cheerss!

Crochet Rose

I can't sleep last night. Layan TV..ada Survivor =)

Boring..terus bukak internet and I decided to do this Crochet Rose but without leaf. I will do the leaf later..I will. In 30 minutes, this is the outcome! Niceeee

My unstable Cactus is Completed!

I am so envy of her work and also her cactus! Kak nor, see my first amigurumi..yours one is sooo damn cute! Not like mine...uhhuuu. I should practice more...

Why my cactus is unstable? It can't stand by itself...so I put my cactus in a pot which I used for real cactus before. I hope it can stand well-balanced now ;) (cheating!)

It's not so nice but I made it yer...my boys like it! They throw it here and there..playing with the child friendly cactus...haha :D. The pattern I got from allcraft

This headband I made with love to a baby girl :) but I don't have one.

I gave it to Suzita's baby. Hopefully, she can wear it during Hari Raya...hehe

Greenish Beanie Cap

I am using single stitch (SC) for this Beanie Cap. Finally I dah siapkan this Beanie for my baby! Yeey..Alhamdulillah. My baby telah dipaksa untuk pakai this cap walaupun tengah syok tido..

Last week my toddler wanna wear this beanie...I just put it on his head and let him know that this cap belongs to adik. He said "Ajim nak pakai jugak la Mama"

Opps...dia dah bagi hint tu...so I should start with his Beanie Cap pulak...

Tutorial : Chain 4, sl st to make a loop

Round 1: TRC 2, DC 3, chain 1, TRC 1, DC 3, TC 3, sl st to finish round 1

Round 2: Chain 3, SC 1 in all TRC, SC 2 in all DC, SC 1 in all TRC, Chain 3, sl st to finish it =)

Double Crochet Stitch Variations

I just read there are variations of double crochet...lucky me I found and read about it =) Before this, I always get confused when doing double crochet through back loops and asked myself "Am I doing it right?"

That is why I searched for the information from the net and I wanna share what I found about Double Crochet Stitch Variations:

1. DC Worked Through Both Loops

2. DC Worked Through Front Loops

3. DC Worked Through Back Loops

4. DC Worked Through Alternating Front and Back Loops

Hmmm...believe it or not, "Double Crochet Worked Through Back Loops" is actually one of the pattern..hehe
